Do you buy department store cosmetics or the drug store stuff?

Which one do you buy? Department store stuff like MAC or Lancome or drug store things like Cover Girl and Revlon. Personally I buy department store stuff in everything except for mascaraDo you buy department store cosmetics or the drug store stuff?
I prefer department store products. My skin works better with them somehow.
